TBS8510 is a real-time multi-channels/format transcoder server, which supports to convert media files from their source format into the best-possible-quality streams to each user's specific device. It allows to convert streams to any MPEG-2, MPEG-4 or H.264/H.265 format, bitrate and resolution.
TBS8510 real-time transcoder is a cost-effective IPTV/OTT headend server, as it supports 20 HD channels or 40 SD channels transcoding, with protocol of UDP, RTP, RTMP, HTTP, HLS, and Media Files.
Based on the powerful hardware, TBS8510 real-time transcoder enables to deliver impressive images to various servers, such as Adobe Flash Server, Wowza Server, Windows Media Server, Apples HTTP Live Streaming and so on.

Specications:
How to scan and log DVB-S2/S channels and transcode the channels to low bitrate?
Step 1. Create transponder file and select corresponding tuner to start scan channels.
> Navigate to "Content" → "Transponders"
> Select corresponding tuner input for the transponder and start scan the channels.
> After scanning, all the channels will be listed in "All Channels".
Step 2: Create transcoding file
> Navigate to "Content" → "Post-processing"
> "HW Acceleration Auto" can choose Node 1 or Node 2, because TBS8520 has 2 available acceleration.
> "Input Video Codec" for DVB-S2/S channels should be H.264/MPEG-4
>Output Video/Audio Codec should be configurated according to your system requirements.
> Click "Save" to finish the step.
Step 3: Adopt the transcoding file to the channels and start transcoding
> Check the channels list from "Content" → "All Channels"
> Double click the channel you want to compress
> Choose corresponding "transcoding file" in "Post-processing" for the channel.
Step 4, Commit the configuration
> Navigate to "Content" "Settings", tick "Restart Media Server" and click "Commit"
> After TBS8520 restars, the selected channels will be transcoding and streaming.
